Well, the dream team of thriller that is David Fincher and Andrew Kevin Walker of Se7en fame are pairing up once again. This time around they will adapt The Killer from Alexis Nolent’s graphic novels. This will entail Fincher directing and Walker penning the whole thing.
The story of The Killer follows a cold-blooded assassin who has to deal with a psychological crisis in a world of assassins and the lack of any real morality.
The novel which are heavily noir influenced are likely to bring Fincher and Walker back to the dark crime thriller that brought them together in the first place. Fincher is taking The Killer on after his involvement in the biopic that was Gary Oldman in Mank. The black and white film was a complete bit of genius.
There is still an unconfirmed rumor going around that would bring Michael Fassbender on as a starring role in The Killer. However, at this time there is no confirmation on that from Netflix.
Fincher is a director that can seriously do it all. Gone Girl, Se7en, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac and Mank have all been phenomenal in their own rights.
