Actor Dane DeHaan will join Julianne Moore (Carrie), Clive Owen (Children of Men), and Joan Allen (A Good Marriage) in AppleTV+’s limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Lisey’s Story.
According to Deadline, the eight hour series is written and executive produced by King for the streaming service with J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions and Warner Brothers Television.
Lisey’s Story finds a widow (Moore) who, two years after the death of her novelist husband (Owen), begins to come to terms with things about her husband that she had repressed long ago. DeHaan will play a fan, obsessed with her husband’s work, and adamant that his unpublished writing should be released.
Dane DeHaan is a talented actor with an interesting list of credits that demonstrates a wide range of abilities. His breakout role in Chronicle introduced him to genre fans and many will remember him as the Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but he has also given remarkable performances in films like Kill Your Darlings, a biopic about the intersecting lives of the poets of the beat generation with co-star Daniel Radcliffe.
There is no release date for Lisey’s Story at this time, but iHorror will keep you posted on details as they become available.
