‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Taken Down From Playstation Store and With Refunds

by Trey Hilburn III

Cyberpunk 2077 is here despite many, many delays. Now, despite all those carefully planned delays the game isn’t running as it should for last gen users. PS4 and Xbox One users have been flood with a barrage of bugs on their last gen consoles. So much so that the CD Projekt Red title is being removed from the Playstation store.

SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.

Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.

I am in the process of reviewing the game. Most times, a review would have been out prior to the games release. However, game critics weren’t given a code until the day before release. As you can imagine my Xbox X|S copy was filled with bugs. An update that has been applied since release fixed the vast majority of bugs on the X|S, but even then the game needs some work.

CD Projekt Red is in the process of a major update that will fix a lot of the issues that gamers are running into. Unfortunately, last gen owners have been hit with performance issues so bad that they haven’t been able to play.

It’s a shame because the game itself is one of the best I have played. However, its hard to say that without factoring in the bugs. In my opinion Cyberpunk 2077 shouldn’t have been a last gen title. It should have specifically been created for next gen consoles and PC.

No word on when Cyberpunk 2077 will return to the Playstation store. But, I’m sure it will be soon after the update.
