‘Creepshow’ Holiday Special Heads to Shudder This December; Stars Adam Pally

Creepshow loves a good holiday special, apparently. The animated special that dropped around Halloween was a welcome addition to the spooky season. Now, we are receiving a two-parter during the Christmas Holiday.

This creepy tale is titled Shapeshifters Anonymous parts 1 and 2. It stars Adam Pally, Anna Camp and is being directed by Greg Nicotero.

The synopsis goes like this:

“Fearing he is a murderer, an anxious man searches for answers for his “unique condition” from an unusual support group.”

The Spirit of Christmas is alive and well in true Creepshow fashion. Reimagining how we look at the holidays and Santa Claus with an outrageous ensemble cast, a myriad of creepy crawlies and a few thrills and chills shouldn’t be missed.” said Nicotero.

It’s been tough getting Creepshow back in an official season 2 capacity with all the COVID slowdowns but its good to see the streaming service is still offering a steady lineup of Creepshow nuggets. This two parter was originally scheduled for being a regular part of the larger season. Now, we get this offering which is much nicer, I feel. Plus, It could mean that we get more Creepshow in its place later down the ways as part of the actual season 2.

Season one of Creepshow was a hit for Shudder. I still feel that we received very uneven bits of content. Some felt true to form while others just felt like a short film that existed outside of this universe and was just thrown in for good measure. Don’t get me wrong there were a few really great episodes. I’m hoping that season 2 gets more in the groove with what made the first two films great.

The Creepshow holiday special hits Shudder on December 18.
