Easily this year’s best horror film was James Wan’s The Conjuring 2, which terrified audiences, earned rave reviews from critics, and absolutely dominated the box office earlier this summer. The film, a direct sequel to the 2013 hit, arrives on DVD and Blu-ray this coming Tuesday, September 13th, and ahead of the release comes a super creepy trailer that we think you’re going to dig.

Actually, it’s the original trailer… only played in reverse!

As spotted over on Entertainment Weekly, the backwards trailer may very well have the power to summon forth a demonic entity – the Crooked Man, perhaps? – so we urge you to be careful about watching it. But if you’re brave enough, you might want to turn out the lights, turn up the volume, and dive headfirst into the horror. Okay, so there’s no actual danger in watching it, but it’s a pretty cool and surprisingly creepy little treat nonetheless!

Check it out below.

The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
