The Books of Blood anthology film is making its way to Hulu just in time for Halloween. Today, the streaming company unveiled an exciting lineup for Huluween. Most notably, the list included an exciting Clive Barker film adaptation based on his popular short stories collection.

As we previously reported, Anna Friel, Britt Robertson, Rafi Gavron and Yul Vazque, Freda Foh Shen (Ad Astra), Andy McQueen (Farenheit 451 and Nicholas Campbell (Da Vinci’s Inquest) are assisting in bringing Barker’s anthology to the screen. With the series penned by Adam Simon and Brannon Braga.

Barker’s Books of Blood short stories have been adapted to screen in the past in the form of The Midnight Meat Train and Dread. While, The Midnight Meat Train was a good film overall, it and other adaptations have failed to capture the true darkly macabre nature of Barker’s work.

Barker’s Books of Blood volumes contain some of my favorite short stories of all time. There is a lot of great content to pull from. With so many amazing short stories in the collection, I’m curious why this wasn’t a series instead of a film.

What short stories are you hoping makes it into the film, Barker fans? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
