Happy Holidays, witches! Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has dropped a trailer for its upcoming holiday special. It’s going to be a merry, scary Yuletide in Greendale.
This new trailer has us feeling the festive spirit. We’ve got sleigh bells jingling, yule logs crackling, tormented spirits stalking, terrified screaming, and some kind of horned demon that may or may not be Krampus.
From what we can tell from the plot description, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale will honor the pagan tradition of the Winter Solstice – with a few dramatic twists, naturally.
“The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year — when families gather together around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols, tell ghost stories and huddle against the supernatural creatures that come out to cause mischief. Since the Winter Solstice is when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest, it’s the perfect time to conduct a séance — which Sabrina convenes, to try and contact her mother. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome — and you never know what might come down the chimney.”
Netflix seems to be in the giving spirit this holiday season. Just a few days ago we saw a new trailer for the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s upcoming second season, along with the official announcement of its April 5th release date.
We don’t have any official information about the second season just yet, but with the pace Netflix has set, I imagine it won’t take long before we start to see some sneak peeks.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale will land on Netflix on December 14th. Check out the new trailer below and let us know what you think!
