Mezco Toyz has been loyal to Mancini’s original visions and in their latest creation based on Child’s Play 3, they’ve recaptured the “Pizza Face Chucky” that terrorized our 16-year-old hero Andy Barclay.
Don Mancini’s Child’s Play franchise has been in the news recently because Hollywood execs want to give the original the dreaded reboot treatment, something the filmmaker and purists have spoken out against
But fans know the true origin story and the six sequels that followed including his recent entry Cult of Chucky which won praise from critics and audiences alike. But back before the Cult and Bride, in 1993 our “friend till the end” met the wrong side of a scythe in a dark ride and the result is what you see below.
This 15″ doll is available for pre-order and will only set you back $94, which is a steal for dedicated Chucky lovers who want one of the toy company’s highly collectible MDS Megas.
Here’s the official description from the Mezco website:
“The Mezco Designer Series Talking Pizza Face Chucky features an all-new head sculpt, depicting Chucky’s mutilated face after a run-in with the Grim Reaper’s scythe in the “Devil’s Lair.”
Just as he did in the films, Chucky has lots to say from his trademark “Hi, I’m Chucky, and I’m your friend till the end!”, to far more sinister phrases.
Sporting his signature ‘Good Guys’ overalls and striped shirt, Chucky features 11 points of articulation, his trademark orange hair, and realistic glass eyes. He comes complete with a gun that fits neatly into his right hand.
The Mezco Designer Series Talking Pizza Face Chucky stands 15” tall and comes packaged in a collector-friendly, film-inspired window box.”
