If you’re a fan of Alvin Schwartz’s legendary “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” books, you’re probably jumping for joy over the return of the original Stephen Gammell artwork. After all, Gammell’s freakishly creepy illustrations drew readers in, and it just wasn’t the same when they were re-released with new artwork for their 30th anniversary.

To celebrate these new editions with the original artwork, grab one of these tank tops featuring some of the more famous images from the series, such as Harold the killer scarecrow, the unfortunate Ruth from “The Red Spot” in mid-spider hatching and the rotting, eyeless corpse form “The Haunted House.”

A Scary Stories shirt.

The tank top is available at Paragon Apparel and RageOn, and prices vary depending on the site. Order one soon, while it’s still tank top weather!

I’ll be spending this weekend at my family’s secluded cabin in Maine. We keep a boxed set of these books in the cabin (with original artwork of course), and I’ll be reading these all weekend. I swear, that face from “The Haunted House” still gives me the creeps.
