‘Cats’ Butthole Cut is Here And It’s Even Scarier Than The Original

While it can be debated whether or not the latest screen adaptation of Cats falls under the horror moniker, plenty of viewers have said it was sewn from nightmares. There’s even a horror trailer cut spliced together with scenes from Pet Semetary.

But(t), it just got worse, there is one element that could terrify you even more than seeing what VFX artists did to Jennifer Hudson and Idris Elba’s beautiful visages, that would be the legendary “butthole” incident.

Apparently several people who worked on the film allege the cats originally had buttholes in early edits of post-production.

One source told the Daily Beast:

“When we were looking at the playbacks, we were like, ‘What the hell? You guys see that?!’” the source said. “We paused it. We went to call our supervisor, and we’re like, ‘There’s a fu**ing a**hole in there! There’s buttholes!’ It wasn’t prominent but you saw it…And you [were] just like, ‘What the hell is that?… There’s a fu**ing butthole in there.’ It wasn’t in your face—but at the same time, too, if you’re looking, you’ll see it.”

Another Cats crewmember seemed to back this statement up, but explained it was an element in the software that made it seem like certain body parts were present. An entire team was hired to remove them and give you what you see today.

The comedy team over at XVP decided to re-imagine what the movie would be like if they stuck it where the sun don’t shine so they added the puckered parts back in.
