Not since Shaun of the Dead have we seen a movie trailer that blends just the right amount of horror with just the right amount of comedy as we do in Cannibals and Carpet Fitters.

Like Shaun, this is a UK offering — coming to the U.S. for the first time just before Christmas — stars Richard Lee O’Donnell and Darren Sean Enrigh as professionals who are called to the country one day to install flooring and a bite to eat.

It is based on the short of the same name and the premise is about as simple as you can get:

“In Cannibals and Carpet Fittersa group of carpet fitters are sent on a job to an old country house in the middle of nowhere. They soon discover it is a trap set up by a savage, cannibalistic family. The carpet fitters are forced to fight for their lives or risk ending up being the evenings’ dinner. Cannibals and Carpet Fitters is a gruesomely fun thrill ride that will keep you in your seat until the very last minute.”

One-liners and great gore effects are the highlights of this Wrong Turn meets Shaun of the Dead and will be available on VOD, December 11, 2018.
