The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival is Open for Your Submissions

by Ashley Payne

Brooklyn, NY will be kicking off its third annual Horror Film Festival from October 11th to October 18th, 2018.

In previous years, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival has been the home to the world premiere of Child Eater, the US premiere of Fury of the Demon, and even a documentary of my all time favorite slasher – Kane Hodder – titled To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. The documentary was an East Coast Premier and to tie in to the wonderful showing they even played the first four Friday the 13th movies.

They recently opened their submissions for indie horror films to be shown during their Festival. So if you are like me and you have always dreamed of having your name recognized alongside names like Craven, Hitchcock, Romero, Cronenberg or Wan (just to name a few), grab your red food coloring, your cornstarch, corn syrup (or chocolate syrup to give it that Hitchcock vibe) and bring your goriest dreams to life!

If you are not artistic or you just do not have the time to commit to making your own personal nightmare on screen, the ticket packages for the Brooklyn Horror Fest range from $85 to $300 – depending on how much your stomach can handle!
