Dracula

For those of you like myself, who fall into Sherlock and Doctor Who obsessive camps, today’s news is particularly exciting. BBC’s trailer for the upcoming mini-series, Dracula dropped to give us a tease and boy did it ever come through.

Both writers, Mark Gattis and Steven Moffat, from Sherlock and Doctor Who fame have come together to retell the classic Bram Stoker tale of Dracula.

The series tells the story of Dracula as he travels from Transylvania to London and everything that happens in between. It apparently then goes beyond what we are familiar with in the book and has Dracula tango with Van Helsing’s descendants.

Claes Bang (The Square) stars as our new Dracula and is only teased at the end of the trailer. He is giving us super Christopher Lee vibes from what we see here. Everything else in the trailer is a blend of eclectic bits of the genre that we are completely onboard with.

The trailer has us very excited to watch this series. With the history of Moffat and Gattis, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a December release on this one similar to Sherlock episodes and Doctor Who Christmas specials. But, we will have to wait and see.

What do you guys think? Excited to see Sherlock writers in charge of ole’ Dracula? Like what you see in the trailer? Let us know in the comments section.
