I’m sure we all have seen the award winning transformation scene in An American Werewolf in London in which we watch our protagonist (or would he be the antagonist?) David turn into a werewolf on screen, courtesy of special effects guru Rick Baker. Needless to say, to this day, it is still one of the most spectacular uses of practical effects in cinema history.

Well just for kicks, Director Travis Betz along with Max Landis (the son of An American Werewolf in London director John Landis), in association with Cinefex, decided to re-enact the famous transformation scene just for the heck of it and if you have seen any of Max Landis’ other works on YouTube… you already know it’s hilarious. Check out the short below, as well as a side by side comparison and a behind the scenes look!
