There is a lot of haunted house horror that comes with its own true back story. Or, at least a version of the truth. The Amityville Horror, The Conjuring and The Winchester Mystery House are among the top on that list. Each offers it’s own special spot in America’s most haunted places.
Well, haunted house fans, Netflix has a series coming up that will be very much up your alley.
Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s production company Imagine Entertainment just had their docuseries on America’s most haunted spots picked up from them. The series, directed by Joe Berlinger, is said to be ‘gritty and malicious’ according to the report from Variety. The series remains untitled for the time being.
There are a ton of docuseries on haunted places. I’m hoping that Howard and Glazer’s company is able to bring an angle to light that hasn’t been explored before. A lot of these sorts of shows tend to focus on the places that we already know of from cinema, and less on the ones that aren’t as well known. If this offering can sustain a bit of both arenas it could be something that might be a nice bit of haunted exploration.
What do you guys think? Are you tired of these kinds of shows? Looking forward to what Howard and Glazer bring to the table? Let us know in the comments section.
