We’re now five episodes into American Horror Story: Coven, the third season of FX’s hit show that has been proving the best is still yet to come. Widely regarded by fans as the best season thus far, Coven has been an absolute ratings juggernaut in the last several weeks, on track to record the highest ratings amongst adults 18-34 of any show in the history of the network. With a total of 34 Emmy nominations already under the show’s belt, you’d better believe that FX isn’t planning on bringing the horror to an end anytime soon.
In news that is sure to excite many but surprise few, FX CEO John Landgraf has just announced that American Horror Story has indeed been renewed for a fourth season, with a 13 episode run being ordered by the network. “Coven is the best [season] yet, ” said Landgraf in a press release sent out today. “And I have no doubt that the next installment will be even better.”
No details have yet been revealed in regards to what the fourth season will be about, but one thing we do know is that it’ll be Jessica Lange’s final season on the show. Lange has no doubt been a major highlight of every season so far, and she recently announced that she’s only got one more season in her. Sad news, to say the least.
Eight episodes of American Horror Story: Coven still remain, and you’ll find weekly recaps of each new episode right here on iHorror!
