There is a special kind of magic that exists between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Their collaborations have always been a slice of fried gold, especially when director Edgar Wright steps in for the triple. The latest paranormal comedy series from Amazon titled, Truth Seekers doesn’t have Wright’s involvement, but it does bring Pegg and Frost together along with Malcolm McDowell.
Deadline’s description of the Truth Seekers is as follows:
“Truth Seekers is a supernatural comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who work to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.”
The whole thing sound very cool. Like most you, I would gladly watch Pegg and Frost sit around and chew gum and chat. So, the fact that they are messing about with the paranormal again, is pretty fantastic.
The series comes from Pegg and Frost’s Stolen Pictures production company.
Truth Seekers premiers on Amazon Prime beginning October 30.
