Crackle’s Dead Rising: Watchtower, adapted from the ever so popular Dead Rising video game series from Capcom, is only a few weeks away and today, IGN debuted a character poster to start the hype. Jesse Metcalfe takes the spotlight on this new poster as his character Chase Carter, “an online reporter trying to make it big – but the pursuit of his career-defining story leads him into the heart of a zombie-infested warzone. The quarantined city quickly erupts into carnage and anarchy, becoming a deathtrap he’ll be lucky to escape.” Looks like only some of the text is there. Perhaps more character posters to complete one big poster, spelling out the title? Oh, and let’s not forget that there is a new, longer trailer that gives you a little more insight into the characters and story!
Dead Rising: Watchtower is directed by Zach Lipovsky and written and produced by Tim Carter. The film’s a Legendary Digital/Contradiction Films/di Bonaventura digital production. The film debuts on Crackle March 21st.
“Chase joins forces with a desperate band of survivors. Crystal (Meghan Ory) is tough and independent, and may be the key to exposing the conspiracy behind the mysterious outbreak. But when she is bitten, their greatest asset may become their biggest threat.
Joined by Maggie (Virginia Madsen), a brave mother torn from her child, the survivors unite to develop an arsenal of makeshift zombie-slaying weaponry. Hunting for the truth, they must slash, smash and shoot their way through rampaging hordes, vicious gangs and hostile government operatives. Their death-defying journey to escape the city leads to an explosive confrontation, where the true nature of the threat is unleashed. They’ll have to kill the undead — or die trying.”
