We’ve talked quite a bit about Alien: Isolation on here and for a few good reasons. For starters, it’s a follow up game to the original Ridley Scott classic film, it seems to be a return to true survival horror and it’s looking to be downright terrifying. Some videos and photos have been posted, by finally this weekend, a release date has been announced by the SEGA.

Mark your calendars, folks…  on October 4th you can try to survive a xenomorph encounter. I know I will be.

In Alien: Isolation, you play as Amanda Ripley in search of the truth behind the events that occurred on the Nostromo as well as her mother’s disappearance, exploring similar looking spacecrafts when a familiar xenomorph begins stalking you.

The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It’s also said that the developer Creative Assembly will be trying to output the game at native 1080p for Xbox One and PS4, making it the ultimate high def experience in survival terror.
