Ru Paul’s Drag Race alum, Aiden Zhane, has written a song and made a music video titled Gein in reference to the notorious 1950s serial killer.
Aiden appeared on season 12 of the Emmy-winning reality show. She is a huge horror fan so it makes sense her first video would be NSFW.
Shot on an iPhone during quarantine, the video focuses on a seemingly murderous woman—reminiscent of Joan Crawford in Strait-Jacket—who has a fascination with Ed Gein; a man known for skinning his victims and using their flesh to make furniture.
Filled with course language and pitchers of blood (literally) Gein gets extra points for being a song filled with a driving beat and haunting narrative.
As Aiden said in her exit message on Drag Race, “I hope my screams were loud enough for you bitches. You may not know me now but you sure will later!”
She’s such a cut up.
