Not much is known about the plot of the latest season of perennial favorite American Horror Story other than the decade it will take place and that it will pay homage to the slasher genre somehow.

But now we also know when it will premiere on FX:

American Horror Story: 1984, will drop on Wednesday, Sept. 18 10 pm. This is according to The Hollywood Reporter which has put together a comprehensive list of show’s premiere dates through 2020.

AHS SEASON 9 is called…

A post shared by Ryan Murphy (@mrrpmurphy) on

This is the ninth season of the horror anthology series which depending on who you ask will list off their favorite and least favorite season(s).

Producer Ryan Murphy has rehired his sometimes muse Emma Roberts for a main role. She will be joined by Olympian Gus Kenworthy and AHS: Apocolypse alum Ashlyn Mackenzie.

Murphy has recently signed a Netflix deal which might make him the busiest producer in Hollywood (alongside Jason Blum). Concern over Murphy’s overabundance of projects left some wondering if AHS would continue past season nine.

However, the head of FX, John Landgraf, says AHS will have “many more seasons.” Well, at least one more that we know of. The series has been renewed for season 10.
