Just a mere few weeks ago, we here at iHorror brought you the news that a couple of hardcore fans of the Nickelodeon series are bringing Are You Afraid of the Dark back to life in an all-new tribute film that is said to surely please any fan of the ’90s tales of kid-friendly terror to be released this Halloween no less.

Now, we’ve been provided with an exclusive look at the 2017 Midnight Society crew who will be bringing us an all new tale of terror in true Are You Afraid of the Dark form; complete with that good ole’ ’90s attire ladies and gentlemen.

With the working title of The Tale of the Ghostly Guest and brought to you by Illusionist Studios/Dark Hill Films, the project fueled by true passionate fans is certainly something that should be appreciated by the horror community as a whole as the cast and crew are working primarily for free to give this film life. With that being said, writers and directors Nathaniel Ingram and Zac Lockard have set up an IndieGoGo campaign to disburse funds to the crew for their tireless work on the film for fans of the nostalgic show. And if you’re so inclined to contribute, you can do so by clicking here.

The film stars Michael Jobe as Collin, Mya Cobb as Michelle, Sarah Townsend as Alex, Caleb Long as Jacob, Michael Hodges as Braden, and Caleb Milby as Zach as the new Midnight Society crew. The film also stars Catcher Stair, Sidney Flack, Suzy Que, Dale Nehaus, and Debbi Tucker.

Synopsis of the film:

The Midnight Society gang returns for an all-new tale of terror. Christopher (Catcher Stair) stays a weekend with his Grandpa Jasper (Sidney Flack) only to discover that they are not alone in the house. As secrets emerge, Christopher learns the extra guest has been welcomed to stay.

In case you need a refresher, let me throw some ‘midnight dust’ into that campfire to remind you that the premiere of the Are You Afraid of the Dark tribute film will take place at Guthrie Haunts in Riverside, Oklahoma on October 28, 2017 with a wide release to the public via the Interwebs on Halloween day, October 31st. Are you ready to return to the Candian woods for one more dose of the Midnight Society? Trailer coming soon!
