Adrian Paul, perhaps best known for his role as Duncan MacLeod on the TV series Highlander, will appear in season two of the AppleTV+ series, See.
Paul will reportedly play Lord Harlan, the ruler of the strongest city in the kingdom.
The actor joins returning cast members Jason Momoa, Hera Hilmar, Sylvia Hoeks, Alfre Woodard, Archie Madekwe, and Nesta Cooper along with the previously announced season two addition Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy).
See is set in a dystopian future where a virus has swept the planet. Most of the population perished and those who didn’t have lost the sense of sight. Now, generations removed from the pandemic, being sighted is seen as witchcraft and is distrusted among the various clans who have made their homes together.
When the Queen hears of two children who are born with the gift of sight, she sends her witchfinders out into the world to find them, sending their family and tribe on the run into the wilderness beyond.
The world the showrunners created is beautifully textured and their cast sells every moment of their harsh realities.
It’s an action-packed, sometimes terrifying series that kept audiences on the edge of their seats throughout the first season, and we’re looking forward to more exciting storytelling in season two with both Paul and Bautista added to this ensemble fleshed out with both sighted and low-vision/blind actors.
