The unexpected death of legendary filmmaker Wes Craven has had a major impact on the horror community, and the admiration and respect expressed by the masses has been the one bright spot to come out of the tragedy. Craven’s peers and admirers have spent the last couple of days mourning his loss and celebrating his life, and many have voiced their thoughts in articles, on social media, and otherwise.

Filmmakers and known Shocker enthusiasts Adam Green and Joe Lynch have a special tribute episode of their popular podcast The Movie Crypt planned for Monday. I don’t know exactly what they have in store, but I’m willing to bet they’ll bring some great discussion about Craven’s legacy to the table as the show brings much insight into the industry with every episode.

An announcement on Green’s Ariescope website says, “Our hearts are broken over the loss of Wes Craven… a true cinematic master, a personal hero, and a wonderfully kind human being.  Our nightmares will never be as beautiful again.”

The above image, which is also from that announcement, is of Green and Craven in 2009.

You’ll be able to find the Movie Crypt episode at 10am PST on iTunes and GeekNation.
