Remember when you used to have to wait until the Super Bowl to see the Super Bowl ads? That’s not so much true anymore, and in advance of its March 20, 2020 release date, Paramount has released a new teaser for A Quiet Place Part 2 which is set to air before the big game.

The teaser gives us a look, in flashback, to the beginning of the terrifying invasion by the mysterious and terrifying creatures drawn to sound that are central to the film’s story. The clip begins with director John Krasinski’s character, Lee Abbot, approaching a local police officer to ask what’s going on, and well, things get real very quickly.

The official synopsis of the films on IMDb states: Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond the sand path.

The sequel includes a whole host of new characters as the family ventures out into the world beyond their homestead including Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) both of whom appear in the new teaser spot.

The studio also released a short featurette for the new film this morning titled “Questions Answered” with Krasinski and his wife and star of the film, Emily Blunt (Into the Woods) discussing the events in the upcoming sequel.

The film is one of the most highly anticipated sequels of the year, and will definitely continue to be on our radar as the release date approaches.
