It’s crazy that we’re only a few months away from seeing Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding back on the big screen in 3 From Hell. After all, they were shot so many times at the end of The Devil’s Rejects that it was hard to imagine they could survive.
Yet, here we are, with Rob Zombie’s next horror film, 3 From Hell on the horizon. Last month saw the first trailer for the Firefly threequel arrive, although many were left underwhelmed by its brevity. Zombie has said more footage will hit sometime in July.
Now, Deadline reports that 3 From Hell has finally received a theatrical release date, or in this case, dates. Zombie has seemingly chosen to bypass the MPAA this time out, striking a deal with Fathom Events to screen the film in its unedited, unrated form.
3 From Hell will screen on September 16th, 17th, and 18th, offering different extras each night. The 16th will get a video intro by Zombie, the 17th will come complete with a behind-the-scenes piece, and the 18th will be a double feature with Devil’s Rejects.
I am all about that double feature, and if you are too, tickets for all three nights go on sale on July 19th. 3 From Hell will be shown at about 900 theaters nationwide, so most Americans will likely be able to check it out fairly easily. Check out the poster below.
