Hey Tightwads! Did you get through Thanksgiving in one piece? Here’s another batch of free movies to ease you into the Christmas season…
As if you didn’t know, RoboCop is Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 sci-fi satire about a slain cop who is turned into a half-human robot so that he can continue to fight crime and corruption in a futuristic Detroit. It’s more sci-fi than horror, but it’s one of those hysterically cheer-worthy movies, and the cast includes such cool names as Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Miguel Ferrer, Ray Wise, and Ronny Cox. RoboCop is an absolute classic of the sci-fi schlock genre, so if you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for? Check out RoboCop here at Vudu, and if that’s not enough, they’ve also got 1990’s RoboCop 2 here and 1993’s RoboCop 3 here.
Exists is about a group of kids that encounters Bigfoot while partying in the middle of the woods. This 2014 movie was directed by Eduardo Sanchez of The Blair Witch Project fame, so of course it’s a found footage flick. The faux-documentary hook always seems to work for Bigfoot movies, though. Bigfoot is played by renowned creature actor Brian Steele, who also brought the big sasquatch to life for the Harry and the Hendersons television show. Catch a glimpse of Exists right here at TubiTV.
They’re Coming to Get You
Also known as All the Colors of the Dark, Day of the Maniac, and Demons of the Dead, They’re Coming to Get You is a 1972 Italian/Spanish spookfest about a woman who is plagued by terrifying nightmares after losing her unborn child in a car accident. To make matters worse, she also finds herself being pursued by a coven of devil worshippers. This creative little occult thriller was directed by Sergio Martino and stars George Hilton, Edwige Fenech, Ivan Rassimov, Nieves Navarro, and Marina Malfatti. He Walked by Night
He Walked by Night is a 1948 film noir mystery about a pair of LAPD detectives who are searching for a man who killed a policeman. Their initial investigation only reveals that they are dealing with much more than just an average criminal. This hardboiled police procedural unfolds deliberately in a documentary-like way, adding to the film’s authenticity. Richard Basehart stars as the killer, with Scott Brady and James Cardwell portraying the cops who are assigned to catch him. See He Walked by Night here at Viewster.
The Man Who Changed His Mind
Taking its title literally, The Man Who Changed His Mind is about a scientist who experiments with mind transplants. Of course, he is a mad scientist, and begins to use his discoveries to exact revenge when he is ostracized for his research. Alternately known as The Man Who Lived Again and The Brainsnatcher, The Man Who Changed His Mind is an effective 1936 chiller, thanks in no small part to a typically awesome performance by the one and only Boris Karloff. You can find The Man Who Changed His Mind here at DailyMotion.
