Previously, iHorror reported that Director Shane Black had disclosed information on an upcoming teaser for The Predator. Shortly afterwards, we covered the mysterious photo Black had tweeted, in which I am still convinced you can definitely see the Predator standing next to a tree.
Shhhh…. He's coming. pic.twitter.com/iaQty5wy3Y

Since Black tweeted out the photo, fans have been lying in wait within the treetops of the Twitter-sphere, anxious for any confirmation date concerning a trailer or teaser. This past week, Black baited fans with a coy post about The Predator‘s teaser trailer.
Whoops — the teaser that drops this month is for Cinemacon only… THEN it goes to theaters. My bad. Patience. Go rent INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY, meantime. Great stuff.

It seems like Black forgot that Cinemacon would get to prematurely experience the first teaser of The Predator.
Mixup aside, it’s not exactly clear if the teaser would be released to movie theaters exclusively, or if it will be shown in theaters shortly before being released (officially) on the web.
I’m sure Predator series fans would prefer an official high-quality teaser release, as opposed to someone’s low quality upload. I mean, I’d prefer a 1080p/4K viewing of the teaser, not a 240p recording from the inside of a jacket, but that’s just my preference.
As of now, The Predator is set to release on September 14th of this year. The film’s cast consists of Yvonne Strahovski, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, and Thomas Jane. The Predator is written by Predator cast alumni Shane Black and The Monster Squad‘s Fred Dekker, and will be released under 20th Century Fox.
Aside from The Predator, Black seems to be delighted with Insidious: The Last Key (judging by the “teaser” tweet and the one previous to it.)
INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY — now streaming; My buddy Leigh Whannell in top form, with a twist I'm totally jealous of. Fuck you, Leigh.

iHorror certainly agrees with Black’s sentiments on Insidious. We were so excited about the film’s release that we made sure to take the time to sit down with Lin Shaye and Spencer Locke.
