Friday the 13th: The Game

Friday the 13th: The Game was released last May, and since then, there have been a slew of updates including clothes, levels, and different versions of Jason. A few days ago, Gun Media, the publisher behind the game, released a video showing a level, called “Broken Down”, which is actually the tutorial for the game’s announced single player campaigns!

One of the biggest weaknesses to these arena style multiplayer games is either a complete lack of a single-player mode, or one which is only supposed to serve as a tutorial for the multiplayer. It means that many of these games have little to no replay value once other players have moved on to the latest player-vs-player release.

So the addition of not a campaign, but a slew of challenges to Friday the 13th: The Game, with increasingly large maps, multiple objectives, and multiple victims should add immense value to the game.

This is in addition to the game mode ‘Paranoia’ which was previously announced.

The best part? The single player challenges will reportedly be a free DLC! An actual release date hasn’t been set, though, so you’ll have to settle for killing other players for the time being.
