Jigsaw is ready to play his game again this October and the first image of one of his sneaky sadistic traps has been released to the public!
The eighth film in the Saw series that dances on the whims of Tobin Bell’s version of private justice is set to hit theaters nationally October 27th, 2017, and while fans of the ultimate puzzler patiently await an official trailer to drop, directors Peter and Michael Spierig are giving the public a small taste of what’s to come courtesy of an exclusive photo from the folks over at EW.
One-half of the Jigsaw directorial team Peter Spierig recently spoke with the entertainment website confirmed that the seventh sequel in the franchise will appropriately have, “The DNA of Tobin Bell is all over this film.” Spierig also added that the traps of Jigsaw in the upcoming movie are a-plenty and will not disappoint audiences:
“We’ve got some pretty wild traps in the film — we don’t shy away from the gore,” says Michael Spierig. “It’s such a perfect Halloween scarefest. It’s perhaps not quite as vicious and more fun, which is something we tried to inject into it. But it’s still full of good fun gore, that’s for sure. And, on top of that, it’s got a really great mystery, and there’s very interesting twists. It’s Saw for 2017.”
Frankly speaking in my humble opinion, the traps designed for the Saw franchise are a close secondary element of importance with the story, of course, maintaining the bearer of the weight of the film. And I have to give the writers and trap creators a huge shout out for upping the bar every single movie outdoing themselves time and again. With this being the eighth film in the series, I can’t even fathom what is up their sleeve next in the torture department!
