Ryan Reynolds has got to be feeling pretty great right now. While he’s worked steadily for decades now, his fame has truly hit its peak currently, thanks to Reynolds’ starring role in the raunchy, violent, and deservedly R-rated Deadpool superhero franchise.

Now, according to That Hashtag Show, Reynolds will soon star in Bermuda Triangle, a sci-fi/adventure film directed by the one and only Sam Raimi. Raimi of course directed three Spider-Man movies, but to horror fans, he’ll always be the man behind Evil Dead.

Reynolds will play a theoretical physicist named Dr. Fisk in Bermuda Triangle, who ends up accidentally opening a portal to another dimension. Inside this mysterious realm are all the people and things to have gone missing within the titular region over the years.

While Bermuda Triangle isn’t straight-up horror, Raimi’s involvement as director is sure to make fright fans take a second look, as the man really doesn’t make movies that often anymore. His last directorial effort to date was 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful.

Also making Bermuda Triangle of interest to horror lovers is what awaits Reynolds and his co-stars on the other side of the portal, including sharks and Nazis. A release date for and further info on the film has yet to be revealed, but this is definitely a project to watch.
