We still have no idea what to expect from American Horror Story: Hotel, though it has been confirmed that singer Lady Gaga has checked in for a starring role. But what about the show’s regular cast of actors? Will they be coming along for the ride? Not all of them, unfortunately…

As reported by Deadline, series mainstay Jessica Lange will not be appearing in Hotel, and it’s likely that she’s entirely done with all things American Horror Story. The announcement was made at this past weekend’s PaleyFest, straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth.

“Yes, I’m done,” revealed Lange. “We’ve had a great run here. I mean, I absolutely love doing these four characters, and in all the madness, I love the writers and Ryan (Murphy) and the insanity of shooting it.”

Jessica Lange was of course American Horror Story‘s one constant, thus far appearing in all four seasons of the show. Her work on the series has nabbed her two Emmys and a Golden Globe, and for her it has been nothing short of a career revival.

It was also announced this past weekend that Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson will be joining Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel. Bomer briefly appeared on Freak Show, while Jackson will be making his series debut in Season 5.

Kathy Bates is expected to return this year, though we don’t yet have confirmation on that.
