Elvira ruled the worlds of horror and Halloween throughout the 80s and into the 90s, hosting classic horror movies and even appearing in her own feature films. At 63-years-old, actress Cassandra Peterson doesn’t look like she’s aged a day, and she’s ready to bring the buxom character back into our lives.

Per Mass Live, Elvira was on hand at the Boston Comic Con earlier this month, where she entertained the audience with behind-the-scenes stories from her decades-spanning career. She talked of working alongside Paul “Pee Wee Herman” Reubens, and even noted that a young Brad Pitt auditioned for her first movie.

At the Con, Peterson also let it slip that she’s currently developing an Elvira animated television series, which will bring the beloved “Mistress of the Dark” back to the small screen. She’s also working on an autobiography, which she joked that she’s been writing for the past 150 years.

Hulu brought Elvira back last Halloween for the ’13 Nights of Elvira’ special, wherein she hosted a slew of horror films including Night of the Living Dead. Peterson is still a regular on the convention scene, often appearing in full Elvira costume – much to the delight of her adoring fans.

More Elvira? Yes please!

  1. Aging is bastardization of oneself in our society. Peterson is still in a very, very good shape, but she won’t be much appealing for the new kids, you know?

  2. We saw week a couple weeks back at Days of the Dead in Atlanta and she has not aged. She is the gal that time forgot. She was super nice and looked like a million dollars.
