When it comes to fast food chains, McDonald’s is undoubtedly the one most synonymous with the Halloween season, thanks to their Happy Meal trick or treat pails that were a staple of many childhoods. But Burger King looks to overthrow them this year, and oh boy have they gone all out.
As reported by Burger Lad, the UK’s #1 burger review website, Burger King is getting ready to launch the HA.1.loween Whopper, a black-bunned monstrosity that will be exclusive to the 2015 Halloween season. It comes topped with cheese, pickles, A.1. Sauce, onion, tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise.
Black buns are nothing new for Burger King, as a similarly oddball creation was made available over in Japan a couple years back, this is the first time the dyed buns have made their way to the United States. And, in a history making move, this is the fast food chain’s very first Halloween hamburger.
As spotted over on Reddit, the HA.1.loween Whopper will come housed inside of a special wrapper, made to look like the wrappings of a mummy. And it’s not Burger King’s only Halloween offering this year, as they’ll also be serving up a decadent Pumpkin Spice Oreo Milkshake…
You win, Burger King. You win BIG TIME.
