The 2017 year of horror was a great one! We had some huge mainstream films getting it right like Get Out, IT, and Split. We also had the return of some fan-favorite franchises like Insidious, Annabelle, and Chucky. Netflix released some original killer films like The Babysitter, Death Note, and the amazing series Slasher 2: Guilty Pleasure – which I loved.  And it’s the year I will never forget because I released my first horror film, the Indie slasher Pitchfork, which I am so proud of. Such a great moment in my life… doing something I am so passionate about.

I hope you get a chance out there to do what you love, and if it’s horror, find something in the industry to fulfill that passion!  Looking forward to another year of horror in 2018.

  1. For starters Merry Christmas Glenn! Everything that I say here is with total respect for your list and your opinion. You have ‘The Devil’s Candy’ as your #1? I must say this is one of the reasons why I LOVE this genre, the diversity! Man I think I have to watch it again cuz I really didn’t like this one in spite of all I heard going in. ‘The Girl With All the Gifts’ was another piece of s**t! I think even with the change from the ‘typical’ zombie film this one just didn’t do it for me. Now I think the most over-hyped film of the year definitely had to be ‘Raw’, I mean this one just sucked! I must ask though no love for ‘Gerald’s Game’ or ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’? I will leave you with this though, I’m with you about the second season of ‘Slasher’! That was so well done and much better than the first season. Brutal kills and the ‘whodunit’ had me going….just for a little.
